Manager of Legal Affairs & Sharia Compliance, Bank of London and The Middle East Plc
Dr. Fahad Al-Zumai, LLB (Kuwait University), LLM- International Business Law (University of Manchester), MA International Business (London Metropolitan University), LLM- Corporate Finance Law- (University of Westminster), PhD (University of London), is a qualified Kuwaiti lawyer, former lawyer in Clifford Chance, Dubai, former Lecturer in the American Intercontinental University, London, former legal advisor in Tuhama Investment Co. where he was in charge of all of the legal aspects of the company investments in the Middle East. Currently Dr Al-Zumai is the manager of legal affairs and Shariah Compliance in the Bank of London and The Middle East where he is in charge of all the bank legal matters, involved in products structuring and along with the Shariah Supervisory Board is ensuring that the bank's transactions are Shariah compliant. Dr. Al-Zumai published in a number of journals on topics relating to capital markets regulations in the Middle East and Europe and is also currently teaching Islamic Finance & Securitization law for postgraduate law students in Westminster University.
