Chris Laxton (Confirmed) Managing Director of Global Business Development, Aviva
Chris has overall responsibility for the External Property Funds team at Aviva Investors including the management of existing mandates, the development of new business and developing new property vehicles. Chris joined the firm in 1987. Chris set up the UK's first Authorised Property Unit Trust (Norwich Property Trust) in 1991, before spending 2 years in New Zealand where he was responsible for restructuring Norwich Union's existing property portfolios. Since 1994 Chris has been responsible for the External Property Funds Team. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Investment Property Forum. Throughout 2004 and 2005 Chris was Chairman of the Association of Real Estate Funds (formerly known as the Association of Property Unit Trusts).
