		Back to Full Speakers Listing Richard Murray (Confirmed) Policy Lead, Islamic Finance, HM Treasury Richard Murray sits within the Financial Services Strategy team of HM Treasury, and is the current policy lead for Islamic finance. Richard graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2001 with an MA in Economic Development and Policy Analysis. Since that date he has worked as an economist and business consultant. Between 2001 and December 2006 he worked for KPMG Advisory, as an economist specialising in pricing and strategy issues, and from December 2006 he worked in the financial advisory group of economic consulting firm LECG Ltd. Richard joined the Treasury in January 2009.
