Abradat Kamalpour is an international finance partner in the securities and structured finance group in London. He has extensive experience in securitisation, debt capital markets and structured finance transactions. Mr. Kamalpour has been at the forefront of structuring Islamic-compliant capital markets and securitisation transactions, transforming non-compliant structures into instruments acceptable to Islamic investors. He is included in The Lawyer's Hot 100, 2008 of the 100 legal professionals to watch. - Acting for Dresdner Kleinwort and HSBC as Co-Arrangers and Dealers in connection with the establishment of a landmark US$1 billion Sukuk Certificate Issuance Programme for Gulf Finance House BSC and an issue under the programme which was listed on the London Stock Exchange and cleared through Euroclear and Clearstream (Winner of the Islamic Finance News 2007 award for Best Country Deal in Bahrain)
- Acting for Capital Management House on the establishment of its $150 million Shari'ah compliant CMH Enterprise Fund I
- Acting for Dresdner Kleinwort as Arranger and JPMorgan, Standard Chartered Bank, UBS Investment Bank and Audi Saudi Arabia as Dealers in connection with the establishment of a US$2 billion EMTN Programme for Global Investment House KSCC, a leading Kuwaiti financial institution
- Acting for the Arranger, Senior Lead Manager and Placement Agent on the landmark Islamic Project Bond (Sukuk) issue to finance the development of the Bahrain Financial Harbour Project. The structure involved the use of Ijara and Istisna underlying contracts
- Acting for Merrill Lynch International on the development of various Shari'ah compliant derivatives and structured products
- Acting for Deutsche Bank AG as Arranger and Lead Manager on a Pan-European securitisation of trade receivables from Portugal, Spain, Germany and France of the INAPA Group
- Acting for a global investment bank as Arranger and Lead Manager on an Islamic compliant securitisation of a pool of Islamic financings from a country in the Middle East
- Acting for HDG Mansur as Fund Manager of the HSBC Amanah Global Properties Income Fund on the Shari'ah compliant financing of a purchase of a portfolio of properties in Germany
